Professional Experience

I am a seasoned therapist with over 29 years of post graduate clinical experience. I earned a Masters Degree in Social Work (M.S.W.) from Howard University in Washington, D.C.

I am licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.. I am also a Board Certified Diplomate (B.C.D.).

My formal post Master's clinical experience includes:

Four years as a drug counselor in a residential drug treatment program in D.C.
Two years working with the chronically mentally ill in a day treatment facility
Thirteen years working in an outpatient setting in a community mental health center
Four years as a mental health clinician at the D.C. Jail.

I have specialized in working with adults who are "Survivors of Incest". This very sensitive issue affects countless men and women.
